Affiliate Disclosure

This site earns money through affiliate commissions. Here's exactly how that works and what it means for the reviews you read.

Summary

When you click through to a listed betting operator from this site and register or place a bet, Union Playroom may receive a commission payment from that operator. We are upfront about this. It is how independent comparison sites in this space fund their editorial work.

What affiliate relationships are

Affiliate marketing is a commercial model in which a publisher (this site) earns a fee when it drives traffic that results in a commercial outcome — in this case, a user registering with, or betting on, a linked operator.

The commission we receive is typically a percentage of net revenue generated by referred customers, though the exact structure varies by operator and arrangement. In some cases a flat fee per registration may apply.

How it affects what appears on this site

We currently review a curated selection of UK-facing betting products. Some of those products are ones we have affiliate partnerships with. Others we may review on a non-commercial basis.

We do not alter editorial scores, remove negative observations, or inflate positive aspects of a review because of a commercial relationship. Our review criteria are applied consistently across all products. If a product scores lower in a particular area, that is reflected in the published review regardless of whether we earn commission from it.

Operators do not see, approve, or have the ability to amend our review content before or after publication.

Why some products are listed and others aren't

We have reviewed a specific selection of products. The absence of any product from this site is not an editorial recommendation against it — it may simply not have been reviewed yet. We do not claim to cover all UK-facing betting products, and we don't imply that the products we cover are the only worthy options available.

Affiliate link labelling

Outbound links to operators on this site use rel="noopener noreferrer sponsored" attributes to indicate that these are commercial referral links. Link URLs typically include affiliate tracking parameters (such as UTM parameters, subid values, or affiliate IDs) to attribute any resulting commission accurately.

Commission does not affect user cost

The commission we earn is paid by the operator from their own margin. It does not result in any additional cost to users who register through our links, nor does it affect the terms or conditions available to those users compared to registering directly.
